The first episode is finally here and it`s truly a blast
to watch (all 17 minutes of it). 3 years ago, I stated that if the show were to
ever make a return, I'd be open to reviving this blog again......and three years later, the show is finally back. Albeit for only a short time but still, we worth the long wait.
The episode begins with a retelling of Arnav and Khushi's
love story, from how they first met (and continued to meet), how they hated
each other and how they later fell in love. The 2 and half minute recap
may not be long enough to tell their story but it does its job to a tee in
taking us down memory lane.

We're three years
into marriage, with Arnav waking up and calling out for Khushi. After a few
attempts (with no Khushi responding) Arnav wakes up to see Hari Prakash
bringing his morning tea. Before that, Arnav's told that he must listen to
Khushi's message first (which is presented on an iPad). First thing she
says....Laad Governor. Khushi is really unhappy with Arnav; which to his dismay
he can't recall why. She even warns him from asking Hari Prakash the reason for
her anger. She questions Arnav how he can forget today and asks him to remember
what happened three years ago.
Unfortunately,
Arnav has no clue. Hari Prakash receives a phone call from Khushi, where he
swears he hasn't told Arnav anything. Unfortunately, he lets it slip that it's
their third wedding anniversary.......something Arnav has forgotten yet again!
Arnav can't believe
it's been three years since they've been married......and he's forgotten their
anniversary each time. The first year, gave her a surprise party......3 weeks
later. She later then only spoke to him via actions for a week. Second year,
she gifted him a watch......he gave her chocolates from the duty because he
forgot.....and that too on a day where she was fasting. He knows he's in
trouble this year so he needs to do something quick (especially after getting
an angry face message from Khushi).
Arnav then takes
everyone down memory lane; recounting how he first met Khushi, what she was
like and some of their most heated encounters (ie. first day at the office, the
construction building site). All in all, he still can't believe that he, Arnav
Singh Raizada ended up married to a girl like that. And to be honest, I think
everyone else thinks the same thing. The episode ends with Khushi calling up
Arnav, asking if he`s badmouthing her and stating she's leaving, which gives us
the impressions she was listening in the whole time.

The first episode of IPKKNDEJ is a light hearted welcome
back to the world of its parent; IPKKND; keeping in tune with the feel, the
moments and the characters personalities. Khushi still calls him "Laad
Governor" he still says "What the" and dresses in his trademark
business suit style. The only thing that's changed is time where we've so far
seen a very different Arnav (remember what he was like in 2011??). With only 1
episode in, let's what more IPKKNDEJ has in store for us. A link for the first episode can be found below:
***On a side note, a few things we've discovered from
this episode:
- Arnav has forgotten each anniversary....including the
current one
- He can't ask Hari Prakash for coffee. According to
Khushi, he must do his own work
- In order to appease his wife, he's willing to decorate
the house, blow up balloons and even wrap gifts
- Aman makes an appearance (via a phone call).....and
yes, even he remembers it's their wedding anniversary
