Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada (Sanaya Irani)

Khushi is a bubbly, lively and talkative girl from Lucknow.  Even though she grew up with her aunt and uncle after her parents died when she was eight, they treat her like their own.  She holds values and traditions to a high standard and values the importance of family, love, marriage and relationships.  Her world turns upside down when she accidentally ruins Arnav Singh Raizada's fashion show, as she was trying to meet her sister's groom before the wedding.  Due to some confusion, Khushi is locked in a room and is unable to return to her sister's wedding causing it to be called off.  From that day, Khushi despises Arnav for his rude and arrogant behaviour; even calling him Laad Governor.  However, destiny has other plans in store for her.  From then on, her path continues to cross with Arnav, as they continue to fight with each other while silently becoming closer.  On the night of her sister's wedding, Arnav forces her to marry him for 6 months, after thinking she's having an affair with his sister's husband.  She is soon excluded from both families but wins their hearts back.  Feeling suffocated from the marriage, she tries many tricks to escape it but is unsuccessful.  She ends up finding out why Arnav married her and sets out to clear her name, even asking Shyam for help.  One day, as Arnav is one a business trip, she finds out that he has been kidnapped and works hard to rescue him safely.  Through that endeavour, she realizes she's in love with him and will now stop at nothing to bring him home.  After successfully rescuing him, she exposes Shyam as the mastermind of the kidnapping and reveals his true colours to the family.  Arnav believes in her story and throws Shyam out of their lives for good.  She soon realizes their contract marriage is about to end, so she decides to walk out of his life for good.  Due to this, she is wooed and threatened by Arnav to return back to the house.  Khushi ends up admitting her love for Arnav and the two prepare for a re-marriage in front of the entire family.  As the wedding preparations take place, Khushi is shocked by Arnav's willingness to partake in the wedding rituals and his committment towards her.  However, Arnav's Dadi who has returned after so many years, seems to despise Khushi for no clear reason.  Khushi ultimately becomes Arnav's anchor as he begins to open up to her about his past and turns to her for support.
