Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Jashn - Final Episode

Khushi is upset with Arnav and has locked him out of the room. She apologizes to Devi Maa but states that she has no choice. He's forgotten their anniversary again and it's just not acceptable. Just then, she receives a few Facebook notifications...Payal liking one of her pictures and Arnav "almost" apologizing for forgetting their anniversary. Typical Arnav, he can say just about everything except sorry. This allows Khushi to remember the very first time Arnav said "sorry" to her. It might have been a small moment but it really meant the world to her.

Just then, Arnav calls her. After contemplating, she picks up the phone and like usual, he isn't happy she kicked him out mid conversation. Khushi isn't happy that not only did he forget their anniversary again, but that he called it just a date. He apologizes to her and says that he'll do anything for her to open the door. She agrees on the condition that he answer 2 questions. First question, on a very dark night, he brought her something that not only lit up her night but also brought her great joy. Answer: fireflies on the night she helped Arnav escape. Second question, one night he said something to her, albeit in a very rude manner though she didn't mind it. In fact, she was so pleased and happy with what he said. Answer: I Love You Dammit.

And with that, Khushi opens the door and Arnav embraces her likes she's been gone for weeks. Her apologizes (in person) for forgetting their anniversary and says that he has a way of making it up to her. He presents her with a box, asking her to wear the dress inside and come downstairs. Arnav, in a dark blue suit, awaits for Khushi. She arrives in a stunning red sari. He asks her to close her eyes as he guides her to the living room. When she opens her eyes, she sees all the arrangements made by Arnav. Ecstatic, she thanks him with a kiss.

He tells her he loves her and presents her a red rose. Happy with what he's done, she reminds him about the last time he gave her a rose....on her birthday. Arnav realizes she'd been awake that whole time and Khushi begins to tell him more stories he may or may not know about. Arnav cuts her off, only to ask her for a dance. The two share a dance to Rabba Ve playing in the background. He then presents her with a beautiful necklace and the two cut a cake, wishing each other Happy Anniversary. Final words...Arnav: "I Love You Dammit"....Khushi: "Happy Anniversary Dammit".

After about four weeks, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Ek Jashn has finally come to an end. Even though it was only present for a short series of webisodes, they were able to capture the essence of the show and bring the characters back to life. With the final installment, we see that Khushi is still her usual self, confiding in Devi Maya for advice, standing up for herself against her Laad Governor and still being a constant chatter-box. It doesn't matter that she's stayed the same for 3 years, Arnav still loves her like crazy.

The wait has been three years but the fans have finally got the ending that was deserved. This chapter may have closed on Arnav and Khushi and IPKKND but their story will always continue on.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Jashn - Episode 7

Arnav calls up Khushi's parents and asks them to refuse Khushi from coming to see them that day. Arnav is glad that her parents are just as sweet as Khushi is (maybe even sweeter). He knows her parents are very understanding, but does point out that Buaji will be the first person to come to Khushi's defense at anytime. With this, Arnav remembers the time he forgot Khushi's birthday (to be fair, he didn't know when it was) and how Buaji had scolded him for that.

With no option left, Arnav calls Khushi asking her not to go to Lucknow. He'll do sit-ups and even keep a fast...as long as she doesn't go. Unfortunately, Khushi is still mad. It's time to move onto another plan. Arnav begins to take pictures of the arrangements he's made and sends them to her with a message to come home. Frustration is starting to sit in as nothing he's done in the last few hours has got Khushi to return home. He decides to record a message on his phone, letting her in on a little secret; that he did indeed wished her a Happy Birthday that day, even placing a rose beside her bed. However, she happened to be asleep so she could not see nor hear it. Little did he know, Khushi was awake the entire time.

Just then, Arnav receives a call....from Khushi!! He's glad that she's finally returning his calls and asks her not to leave. She lets him know that she's actually present at the house, sending him on a goose chase to find her starting with opening the front door, closing it, walking four paces and then calling him to Nani's room. When he opens the door, he's shocked to find her standing right there. Here, we get classic Arnav, furious with her for being present in the house the whole time while he was worried she might leave (classic Khushi is present as well as she takes steps back as he approaches). Here, Khushi turns the tables on him, yelling at him for forgetting their anniversary. She kicks him out, closing the door and refusing to speak to him.

Arnav tries to reason with Khushi, telling her that he's done nothing wrong....he just forgot a date. Unfortunately, that date means everything to Khushi. To Arnav, their anniversary may just be a date but to Khushi, it's the happiest day of her life....the day she's felt the most blessed and fortunate to have found and married the love of her life. At this point, it looks like Arnav may have said too much and only something big can fix everything.

At last, Khushi has finally arrived and made her official appearance. The entire scene between Khushi and Arnav was a treat to watch. Him being upset with her, causing her to retreat back; and her standing up for herself and kicking him out. Their bickering reminds us why we fell in love with them and makes it feel like they never left. It's unfortunate that it took 7 webisodes to see Barun and Sanaya officially reunite on screen but it was all worth the wait. With Khushi upset as can be, what will be Arnav's next move to pacify his moody wife? Some highlights:

- Arnav makes it a point to state that he made all the arrangements for their anniversary himself; it's like he asked Aman to pick up a handbag. By the way, where is that handbag?

- Arnav calls Khushi's parents Babuji and Amma; something he was unable to say before. It's good to see Arnav move past his wounds and begin to let people into his life.

- Hari Prakash is treated to a classic Arnav scolding; but not before Khushi comes to the defense. Knowing her husband to well, she's let HP off to be spared of his wrath.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Jashn - Episode 6

Arnav opens the door to find not Khushi, but Mamiji standing there. At this point, Arnav really thinks that Khushi doesn't care for him nor his health; even though it was a lie. The two sit down and Arnav asks if those are gifts for their anniversary. She tells him they are sweets for his ailing health. Suspicious, Arnav asks Mamiji if Khushi sent her. After she agrees, Arnav tells her that he was just pretending to be sick so that Khushi would return home. Unfortunately, his confession has been recorded by Mamiji who reveals she's there on behalf of Khushi for a "sting operation".....to see if Arnav was in fact sick or just lying.

Surprised by this, Arnav wonders how the two have become so close, since Mamiji never liked Khushi in the first place. Mamiji corrects Arnav, stating the two aren't BFFs but have become close friends after teaming up as spies to track him down when he was kidnapped. Even though that was a very trying and lonely time, there was a silver lining....Arnav finally trusted Khushi and in his heart accepted that he truly loved her. Since that moment, Arnav has never doubted her again.

Mamiji then presents Arnav with gifts for his and Khushi's anniversary. A sari for her, a kurta for him and custom made special glasses/goggles for him (ones that look just like hers). To be polite, Arnav tries them on but doesn't look to happy to be wearing them. Mamiji then departs but not before delivering Khushi's angry message. Khushi isn't too pleased that Arnav lied about his health; all just to get her to come home. She lets him know that she's not coming home for the next few days and is instead going to Lucknow to see her family. Even with all the pleading and planning, Khushi is refusing to come home, which is starting to make Arnav Singh Raizada a little angry.

Another member of the IPKKND family makes their appearance. The very colourful and outgoing Mamiji is not only present for their anniversary, but is there as a spy for Khushi. It's really great to see that the bonding Mamiji and Khushi shared during Arnav's kidnapping has sustained for three years, bringing the two of them closer than ever. It also looks like Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada has picked up on her husband's tricks, sending a spy to check in on his health. This isn't the same old Khushi from three years ago; this one is quite smarter. Some highlights:

- Mamiji's custom glasses for Arnav. His reaction was priceless, though he continues to be a good nephew, wearing them just to please her.

- Arnav's takeaway from his kidnapping. Yes, it did separate him from his family....yes it did cause them all some pain but in the end, it brought him and Khushi closer together. And in a way, helped them resolve their misunderstandings.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Jashn - Episode 5

After his conversation with Anjali, Hari Prakash finds Arnav and lets him know that champagne bottles from the office have been delivered home. This gives Arnav a great idea; instead of using champagne as a toast, they'll use bhangg instead since Khushi doesn't drink champagne. As Arnav grinds the leaves to a paste he's reminded of Holi. Three years into marriage and he still doesn't understand the concept of Holi; putting colour on each other, drinking bhangg, laughing and smiling to have a ton of fun, etc. To him, it makes no sense. Though he does appreciate colour....in rangolis; allowing him to remember his and Khushi's first trip to her parents house since the wedding.

A while later, Arnav wonders why Khushi hasn't called him yet. He asked Anjali to let Khushi know that his blood sugar was low and that he was really weak. He thought that by hearing this, she'd come running straight. Unfortunately, she still hasn't come home. After remembering the time she believed that he married her because of his horoscope, Arnav calls Anjali to see why Khushi might not have come home, even after receiving false information about his health. Looks like he'll need to wait a little longer. Though, we do learn more about his plan to pacify her.....a card written by him. At the very end of the message is an "I Love You" but Arnav seems to have problems still saying "I Love You" in general.

He states that he can say "I Love You" but not just like that. He'll do it if he's under pressure or kidnapped (cue the flashback to the first time Arnav said "I Love You" to Khushi). Even though he can't say it in everyday conversation, Arnav guarantees that if Khushi showed up that second, he'd be able to say I Love You. Just then, the doorbell rings. Arnav rushes to the door, excited that Khushi has returned home. As he opens the door, he's a little shocked at the visitor standing before him.

It's no surprise that Khushi hasn't showed up, despite Arnav's full proof "weak health" lie. She's been with him for three years now, she's probably picked up on his tricks by now. It's nice to see that even though marriage has changed Arnav a bit, he's still the same person he was before he met her (ie. having no interest in Holi). That definitely keeps the charm of his character intact and makes us love him even more. Now the only question is, who could be the person standing at the door making Arnav a little shocked to see them.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Jashn - Episode 4

Arnav can't believe Khushi wants to talk about children......she's still a child herself. Arnav remembers how Khushi sleeps with stars hanging above her bed; thinking the stars are her parents. At first, Arnav didn't believe in any of it but states that it's not about knowing what the other person believes in is right but more in what you believe in. As for Arnav, he believes......that Khushi is complete crazy. Just then, he gets a call from AnjaliDi. She wishes him on his anniversary and mentions the she and NK just finished gossiping about them. She teases "chhote" about never wanting to see or hear from Khushi on New Years Eve but that never happened.

She then confronts him about being present at Khushi's house on New Year's Eve. Looks like Anjali finally found out what happened that night; since Arnav and Akash refuse to tell her anything while NK is just too scared. She asks him what happened that night with Arnav telling her that there are some things you just don't talk about. Anjali then mentions that she's also sent some gifts. A large card written by the NGO children wishing Khushi didi and Chhote jijaji a happy anniversary as well as a sari for Khushi. She then brings up the first diwali, where Khushi accidentally wore the red sari meant for Lavanya. Arnav said she looked ok but then signals a "stunning" sign. (Cue flashback to the "almost kiss"). Anjali also reminds him about Payal and Akash's sangeet, when Khushi was to perform and he went on stage to be her partner. Arnav tries to change the topic by asking her if she received his monthly check to the NGO but she stops him in his tracks. She also lets him in on a little info.....her and Nani had made a bet on the night of the mehendi that Khushi and Arnav would be together.

For the first time, she asks Arnav what happened that night. They had sent Khushi to his room to get bangles but when she returned, she was blushing from ear to ear. The next day, she seemed so happy that she kissed everyone on the check....including Arnav. With this, Anjali figures out what might have transpired that night. She lets Arnav know that since getting married, he's changed and that for better. Arnav agrees but mentions that while he changed, Khushi is still the same crazy girl he married three years ago. He then asks Anjali for a favour; who seems to be taken aback by the favour being asked.

First Akash and now AnjaliDi making an appearance in the flesh. It was super great to see Anjali again, with so much happiness in her work and life again. Even apart, the brother-sister duo are still strong, with Arnav making a donation to the NGO every month and Anjali checking up on her Chhote like any mother would. In addition, even though it's been three years since they've been married, Arnav somewhat still feels guilty for the pain he caused Khushi, admitting that he forced her to get married to her and then treated her horribly. It was through this painful phase that the two were able to clear their misunderstandings, finally understand each other and really express their love for one another.  Some highlights:

- Anjali prodding and poking Arnav for information on certain events in his life. Anjali hasn't changed one bit since we've seen her last.

- NK gets a shout out...yay!
