Advay lifts Chandni
up to begin the ritual however, just as he takes a step forward he feels
something prick the bottom of his foot. Instantly, he can tell that there are
sharp objects (in this case small nails) hidden in the flower laid trail that
he must walk on. He immediately looks at Chandni who, with a smirk, confirms
that she is the one behind it. She tells him that it's not going to be easy to
touch her...in fact, it'll be quite painful. Instead of giving in, he tells her
that he's used to walking the harder path in life and will cherish every ounce
of pain that she gives to him. With this, Advay walks on the bed of nails, up
the stairs and towards the temple, leaving a trail of bloody footprints behind.
He's successfully able to reach the temple where Chandni places the diya.
Indrani later informs her that she must keep this diya going all night.
Back in his room,
Advay receives an emergency call from Murli and is shocked by what he hears. He
hobbles off to Murli's room and is about to blow when a gentle voice
immediately stops him. Advay's Nani has arrived from. Advay greets her and the
two begin to catch up, with Nani asking him to return with her to London for
the sake of the "girls" there. However, she knows he won't come with
her as he's here for his revenge. Knowing this she warns him of what he's
getting into. In order to destroy the Vasisith family, he too will be burned
and scared. It's a sacrifice he's willing to make as this revenge is solely to
clear his parents name. He also makes it clear to Nani that he could possibly
forgive everyone but not Chandni since she's the root cause of all of this.
Nani understands Advay's pain but also points out that he just knows his story
and that there could be a part he's missing and misunderstanding.
Elsewhere in the
house, Chandni is pouring her heart out to her Mama, as she holds the rock with
Dev's name on it. She misses him dearly and not a day goes by when she doesn't
think of him. He was her best friend and as kids, they'd do everything
together. She still remembers the last time she saw him, right before she and
her sisters were sent off to Banares. He promised that when she returned they
would get up to a lot of activities but when she did come back, he and his
family had disappeared. She's been waiting everyday for years for him to return
and is still hopeful he'll come back one day. As she pours her heart out, she
even admits that Dev is the only person she wanted to marry but seeing what her
current reality is makes her really upset. In present day, she's to marry PP
when her heart truly wants to be with Dev.
Later that night,
both Chandni and Advay keep an eye on the diya. Chandni offers him a haldi
paste to apply to his wounds, seeing that he's still hurt. He has no interest
in her offer and she asks him not to judge her. When he brings up the topic of
her lies, she's left confused again. She's puzzled as to what she's done to
make his life miserable that he's after her life. She begs him to not do
anything that would cause her family harm and states that her parents are good
people who have never done anything wrong. This boils Advay's blood as he's
reminded of his parent's death. He takes his anger out by knocking the haldi
out of her hands and letting her know that he's here for two reasons. One, to
break her marriage proposal and two, to bring shame and dishonour to her
family. He vows that he'll accomplish both of these at any cost.
The next morning,
Indrani tells Chandni that PP and his mother have come by to see old videos of
her as a child. In his room, Advay is having his wounds attended to when Shilpa
announces the arrival of PP. Advay checks in with her to make sure their next
task has been set up and she reassures him everything is set to go. Everyone
then gathers in the living room to watch the videos. Everything starts off
nicely, as we see a young Chandni playing with her sisters. Suddenly, the video
cuts to Shagun and Ranjit getting very close and romantic. This completely
stuns everyone; especially Kajol and Indrani. The Shagun and Ranjit affair has
been exposed. What happens next??
