EPISODE 2
As Advay struggles to hold onto the rope, he gets a
little help from a young fellow, who assists him in holding onto the falling
statue. After doing some "quick mental calculations", Advay orders
people to let go of the other ropes. Someone from the crowd disagrees with this
call and orders goons to beat him up. Advay ends up defending him and with the
help of the young fellow and additional people, are able to raise the Shiv
statue upright.
Having remembered her childhood friend Dev, finally
musters up the courage to leave her house. As she arrives at the temple, Advay
sees her for the first time in 16 years. He flashes back to his childhood, where
we hear quick snippets of conversations (something about someone being able to
levitate and being a witch). Advay vows revenge to the events that occurred 16
years ago.
At the temple, a group of kinners are trying to enter the
ground but are being stopped by Shagun and Kajal. Before the kinners could
curse them, Chandni comes to resolve the issue and kinners are allowed in. One
of them goes back to warn Shagun and Kajal that the person who will destroy
their lineage has arrived and only Chandni can save them from that individual.
Cue Advay entering like a man on a mission.
People at the temple begin to gossip about Chandni upon
seeing her, stating that she must have lied about being kidnapped. Advay
overhears this and vows that there is much more to come in her life. We then
she Indrani, Shagun and Kajal wondering who the guy is who saved the Shiv
statue from falling over. They've never seen him there before. Just then, they
encounter him and Indrani gives her thanks for preventing something bad from
happening. Advay states that even though he stopped something bad from happening
there is much more to come. At this, Indrani decides to figure out who he is.
Chandni begins to go through the rituals of preparing for
the maha aarti. During this process, she recalls her friend Dev going through
the same process. As young kids, they would taunt each other often (hear we
find out he's at least 8 years older than her). As she wonders where Dev is
today, Advay (who formally was Dev but has now changed his name) states that a
lot has changed over the years and vows to reveal Chandni's truth to everyone
that night.
