EPISODE 1 - The Pilot
We start off meeting a young man; long hair and rugged
beard carrying a backpack, guitar and a funeral urn. This is Advay Singh
Raizada. Next, we see Advay rescuing a dog from a pool. As the dog attempts to
show him affection, he states that there is now room for love in his life. It
is hear we learn that at a young age, his parents were killed in front of his
very eyes.
We then flash to fancy house where we meet Chandni. She's
spunky and full of life. This spunk is broken when she's told of a maha aarti
and fear begins to set within her. Cue to a temple location where we meet three
ladies. First is Indrani, a powerful, independent and headstrong women with a
no nonsense attitude. The other two are Shagun and Kajal. Allies of Indrani but
so far provide comic relief.
Back at the house, Chandni is seen helping a man get
ready. This man turns out to be her father who looks to have lost his memory
and forgotten he has a daughter. She is then informed by another houseguest
that she will need to leave the house to do the maha aarti and her fear
returns. She does not want to leave the house. About a year ago, she was
kidnapped and tortured and that event has left her traumatized. However, she
convinced to try to overcome her fear.
Back at the temple arena, Advay arrives just in time to
help stop the Shiv statue from falling. As he struggles to hold onto the rope
we flash to Chandni attempting to leave the house. Unfortunately, the traumatic
events take over her and decides not to venture out, returning to her room and
clutching a rock with a name on it. She's reminded of a childhood
friend....Dev. Advay on the other hand continues to struggle holding onto the
statue.
