The Week in Review: Parallel Stories Start to Form

We're now 10 episodes into the third installation of the series and not much has changed: Advay continues to vow revenge upon Chandni and her family while Chandni is still trying to figure Advay out.  At this point, Indrani and her crew have unmasked the balckmailer and "eliminated" them while Advay now has to search for a new connection to the past. Was he not perceptive enough to notice the little details (ie. the widow wearing the payal during the feast). Is he not focused enough on his mission or are their pieces missing to his puzzle. On top of that, we're given more insight in Mikku/Veer's current life and that is definitely going to come into play down the line, especially when he crosses paths with Advay again. Read more for a breakdown of what worked, didn't work and the shining star of the week.

It's Getting a Little Old:
It's early into the show but this whole "punish Chandni and her family for ruining my life" is getting a little bit repetitve. We know Advay has been wronged, hurt and destroyed by this betrayal but we don't need to hear it every episode. If Advay spent as much effort into his plans then he did on declaring "revenge" we'd be a lot further on and he'd be a lot closer to finding out what happened to his family.

Tough Competition:

A mother who does anything and everything to protec, feed and preserve her family is one that is not to be messed with and we saw all of the with Indrani. The minute a "blackmailer" appears to destroy everything she's built their lives upon, she is in full defense mode, but that too at a smart level. Calm, collective and calculative. She doesn't panic under the stress or bow down easily. Instead, she takes the high road offering stern warnings (ie. the warning she gave to Advay about the culture in Allahabad) and is 5 steps ahead of her enemies (ie. the way she got rid of the blackmailer). With the way we've seen her handle conflicts so far, Advay has a tough road ahead of him.

Shining Star of the Week: Shikha and Mikku/Veer
Two weeks in and we're already forming parallel couples.....and this one I like!! Shikha and Mikku are two very different people who are quite similar with big personalities and nott afraid of a challenge of confrontation. A refreshing jodi that will definitely add quite a bit of spark down the line. Shikha is a girl who has no problem defending herself and is more then willing to teach someone a lessen. While Mikku is sort of a ladies man and enjoys playing pranks on everyone around him. How these two find any common ground will be exciting to see.

Thorn in My Side:
The tune....the backgroun music.....any music that comes from IPKKND season 1. I get it that it's the same production house behind this one but at least give it a different musical score. It deserves that much of it's own identity.
