EPISODE 8
The episode starts
with off with Advay staring at a board with newspaper clippings from the past
(sort of like a puzzle board trying to figure out how all the pieces fit
together). Just then, Murli arrives with food for Advay and as a treat, a story
too. Advay annoyingly listens to Murli's story of being called
"uncle" in the local market by a girl that he eventually gives in and
picks something up to eat to keep him quiet. At the mansion, Chandni, Meghna
and Shikha are all spending some quality sister time, eating snacks and
gossiping. Throughout both scenes, we get to know more about Advay and Chandni
and how opposite they are. Advay prefers non-spicey food and can be messy while
Chandni loves spicey food and is a clean freak. Advay tells Murli that a lot
was at stake the night his family was killed and Chandni's family benefited the
most. In order to crack the 16 year old secret, he'll need to break the family
apart. Murli lets Advay know that breaking up a family isn't easy but Advay
also reminds him that people threaten their own lives in the name of love, he
just wants to break a few relationships and one heart in the name of revenge.
Back in the town,
we continue to learn more of Mikku's life. Him and his friends are preparing to
shoot their next prank video. Before he leaves, his mom applies a tikka for
good luck, something he mentions that she never forgets to do. Just then, her
hijab slightly slips and Mikku helps her fix it. Just then, his father arrives.
He jokingly asks Veer if he's going to make another prank video and wonders
when his son will give up on YouTube as a career. Overall, the family share a
sweet and loving bond, with his mother thanking God for sending Mikku to them
16 years ago. 
In the kitchen,
Indrani informs Shagun and Kajal of changes to the cooking, based on Chandni's
advice. They taunt Indrani for believing in Chandni so much, despite what's happened
to her but she won't hear a word against her daughter. They feel that all these
issues could be caused by Advay since he's new to town and Indrani is not
counting this out. The girls continue their gossiping, moving onto the topic of
boys when Shikha accidentally mentions the posters of Chandni and Advay in the
market. Meghna informs Shikha and Chandni a bit more on the mystery guys in
town. His name is Advay Singh Raizada. A math professor and musician who's just
returned from London. 
Just then, there's
a ruckus at the door as Advay drags in a young man. As everyone goes to see
what's going on, he informs them that he found out that the posters that were
put up yesterday were printed in the guy's shop. The guy confesses to printing
the posters but only because he was told to do so. He explains that he found an
envelope of money in his shop and was given a call by a stranger asking him to
print the photos and put them up in the market. The reason: this person wants
revenge on the family for the events of 16 years ago. Seeing that this
"confession" makes Indrani nervous, Advay attempts to take the guy to
the police station but is stopped by Indrani. She says that this is a matter of
honour and pride for her family and that she doesn't want to involve the
police. She also gives Advay a stern, direct warning. He may be returning from
London but this is Allahabad. Things here are very traditional where rituals
are sacred and their daughters are protected like prized jewelry. The world may
have changed, but not this town. Advay leaves but not before making eye contact
with Chandni who remember's his earlier threats.
Later that evening,
Indrani, Shagun and Kajal are still trying to figure out who is behind all of
the recent events. Shagun and Kajal think its Advay but not Indrani. She's
certain this is all being done by the blackmailer since Advay has only been in
town for less than a week. Shilpa overhears their conversation and informs
Advay who gives her the go-ahead to carry out her next task. She carefully
places a small box in view of the sisters and they instantly take notice.
Inside it is another note, this time asking for 25 lakhs. If the condition is
accepted, they'll need to hang a birdcage up on the terrace to confirm. As
Advay sees the birdcage hung on the terrace, he's determined to get to the
blackmailer as this is the only person who knows the truth, 16 years ago.
