EPISODE 10
As Advay returns to
his residence, he suddenly remembers one of the widows at the feast. She wore a
gold payal with a red stone; the same payal worn by the women who planted the
voodoo doll at his house. Realizing she must be the blackmailer, he immediately
rushed back to the house. However, Indrani has also identified her as the
blackmailer and has begun to interrogate her. The women, Asha, has kept their
secret for the last 16 years but now wants to be paid for it. Indrani offers
her a chest full of jewelry and she's eager to take it. Suddenly, a cobra also
appears out of the box and strikes Asha on the forehead, killing her instantly.
For Indrani, she's silenced a voice to take her down. As Advay reaches the
mansion again, he notices that everyone is gone. As he searches for anybody, he
notices a trail of blood on the floor and realizes he's too late. He's missed
the blackmailer...she was right there. Now, he's back to square one.
The next morning as
Murli complains about having his phone number blocked, Advay is visibly
stressed. Murli notices his mind is elsewhere and inquires as to why he's stressed.
Advay lets him know that today is a very important day. It's the day this
entire story began; 16 years ago with the opening of the temple doors. Today is
the day the temple doors will open in 16 years and he does not want that to
happen. Not before his revenge is had. Back at the mansion, Chandni is being
prepped for the big day while Indrani, Shagun and Kajal are all elated. Today
is the day they've been waiting for for 16 years. As the priests arrive, they
inform Meghna and Chandni of the sacred rituals. Once every 16 years, the Earth
is in a certain alignment with the Sun that it casts a shadow on the idol of
Lord Shiv. Behind the idol is a door to the treasure. With the proper mantras
recited, the door will be activated and open. As she walks through the house,
she encounters Advay again and their braclets become entangled. As she works to
free them, he taunts her saying that her and her family have come a long way;
from being people who weren't even allowed to sit on the steps of the temple to
being the owners. He makes it a point to note to her that she is the dark night
but she retorts back saying that she is the moonlight (Chandni) instead. Advay
takes this opportunity to make his point clear to her; at all costs, he won't
let her or her family open the door to the temple. And this, is a challenge.
At a nearby hotel,
Mikku/Veer are busy pranking people in an elevator with a scary witch costume.
As they watch their next victim enter their prank, Veer notices it's Shikha and
instructs his friend to scare the crap out of her. However, none of the
suggestions seem to work and instead of scaring her, Shikha beats up the guy
pretty bad. Veer confronts her and she states that they guy was bothering her
in the elevator so she gave what was coming to him (aka, his prashad). She may
not be the brightest person, but she is pretty strong and lets the boys know
that she is not someone you want to mess around with.
The puja is
underway and all of a sudden a rain storm moves in. Unfortunaetly, this halts
the puja and the priests fear that the temple doors won't open again, which in
this case could be seen as a very bad sign. Indrani goes to the temple site and
infront of the idol of Lord Shiv pleads here case. Whatever she did all those
years ago was for her family, her children and the betterment of their lives.
She begs for him not to punish her for being a mother. Chandni then shows up at
her mother's side and promises her that the doors to the temple will open
today. We then pan to Advay who confidently states that he'd do anything to
stop the temple doors opening today. We flashback to a few hours earlier where
Advay is explaining to Murli the concept of altering the weather. With this
technology, Advay is able to change the weather and cause a storm just in time
to stop the puja.
