Anjali: To Make or Break Arshi

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon is a star crossed love story between two people who seem to have nothing in common.  Arnav is rude and arrogant, while Khushi is lively and believes in faith.  The bringing of these two together have brought magic to the screen.  Whether it is them fighting with each other, challenging one another or just having some Rabbe ve moments together, one thing is for sure; Arnav and Khushi are made for each other.  Even though they love each other deeply, one thing has always come between them: trust. This lack of trust caused Arnav to misunderstand Khushi and brought their love story to a screeching halt.  Their marriage may be a forceful contract but it has done one thing; allowed for their love to strengthen.

Within this mix is another important character who out of everyone else has the power to either make or break Arshi as a couple.  That is Anjali.  Throughout the show, Anjali has played a key role in bringing Arnav and Khushi together.

• She ultimately was the one who hired Khushi to come to the house to train Lavanya

• She convinced Khushi to stay around until after Arnav and Lavanya's wedding

• She and Nani sort of played matchmaker between the two, putting them in certain situations

• She organized the Bali in Delhi hotel act for Arnav and Khushi to spend time with each other

• She always tried to stop their constant bickering, whether it was through talking with either of them or making them go somewhere.

Even though Anjali has played a major role in making Arshi as a couple, she also holds the power to break them as a couple.  Recently, we've seen Anjali catching Khushi and Shyam together at the wrong times.  This has allowed for some sort of doubt and suspicion to be formed.  When Mami informs Anjali of the fact that Khushi asked her husband to divorce her, she is left in shock and disbelief.

This week, we've seen Shyam's past sins come out before everyone.  Everyone now knows about his engagement to Khushi, the fact he lived as a paying guest at their house and that he was behind Arnav's kidnapping.  He makes every attempt to defend himself, but ultimately digs his own grave by attempting to besmirch Khushi's character.  After all this occurs and Shyam is removed from the house, it is ultimately Anjali's reaction to this news that will be intriguing to watch.

Anjali ultimately has the power to break Arnav and Khushi's relationship.  Being one of the most important people in Arnav's life, will she come between his and Khushi's new found trust and understanding?  Will she point the finger at Khushi for ruining her life?  Will she cause misunderstandings or communication blockades in their life?  Will she force her brother between the two women in his life?

All in all, Anjali's reaction to husbands deeds and to the stories told by Payal, NK and Khushi will surely show what state of mind her character is in.  Currently, Anjali holds the fate of Arnav and Khushi's relationship in her hands.  Whether she uses that power to either make or break Arshi as couple will be interesting to see over the next couple of weeks.
