Khushi refuses to
take the gift but he says that its for her and she can't refuse it. She unhappily takes the gift and unwraps it
to find a beautiful light red sari. She
returns it to Arnav stating that she doesn't want it. Angry at her refusal, he states that he
bought this specially for her, he choose it himself and ordered it himself, all
the while backing her against the wall.
Suddenly he remembers how NK told him he has to be nice around her and
nicely says to her that he wants to see her wear it. She clearly refuses to do so, which upsets
him even more. She states that he may
have succeed in buying her a sari but he couldn't buy her a smile. Upset, he leaves and goes to NK's room where he
starts to blame him for all his plans being foiled. Arnav states that since the morning, he has
been trying to get Khushi to smile but nothing has worked. Khushi is then seen talking to Devi Mayya
asking why does Arnav not understand that she does not want all this. If no one in the house is happy, how can she
be happy. She also says she cannot
forget how he blamed her for everything that is going on and that some things
can never change. Akash returns home and
Khushi begins to talk to him. She tells
him how to make up with Payal and gives other advice. Without saying a word, he leaves to his room
where he yells at Payal that Khushi has no right to advise him on
anything. Payal then goes to speak with
Khushi and says that she should not have said anything and that she should stay
out of their problems. Nani is talking
with Anjali about the time she was pregnant with their mother. Anjali states she wants a boy who is just
like her husband. She then states to
Nani that she doesn't know who is right and who is wrong as she still does not
believe that Shyam could do any of this.
Khushi is upset and remembering Payal's words while Arnav is leaving for
the office. They see each other but turn
away from each other and bump into Payal and NK. Arnav returns to his room where NK begins to
talk to him about love. He tells Arnav
that he is in love and that's why anything Khushi does effects him. NK asks for Arnav to remember some romantic
moments between the two and he begins to narrate them. They include how they first met, how he released
the video, how she worked in his office and all the hard things he made her
do. Before he can finish, NK stops him
and asks about some of the romantic moments from Khushi. Arnav states that she began to call him Laad
Governor, she spilled hot tea on him, she tried to threaten him with a knife,
etc. Again NK stops him saying that
these are not romantic moments but instead a horror story. After he leaves, Arnav reflects on the fact
that Khushi is crazy and then gets an idea.
What worked: Arnav's frustration. His frustration really shows how little he
knows about romance. He's venturing into
foreign territory for the first time and really does not know what to do to
pacify his wife. His frustration allows
him to channel his ASR persona which further drives Khushi away, making him
more frustrated. It's just a continued
non-stop circle.
What didn't work: Khushi involving herself in everyone
else's problems. I know its in her
character that she does not like to see people upset but really. She needs to understand the situation and let
everyone deal with it in their own way.
Her trying to be peacemaker between Akash and Payal is only going to
make things worse. Most of the house is
upset at her and Payal and she needs to give people their space to cope.
